Come Early, Stay Late

I woke up at 8:55 today. Class starts at 9. Crap.

Good thing when I got there, a note posted on the door told me that class was canceled. Ironic? Nah, just my luck.

Not having class gave me time to collect my thoughts and my stomach. I got some chow at the Den while reading my PJ book, searching for ideas to help me with my assignment.

I got to shoot Omo Ache, an Afro-Cuban percussion group based in California. As a percussion enthusiast, I enjoyed it immensely. I even found myself clapping and tapping my foot to some of their nasty rhythms, where I quickly snapped out of it to shoot some sweet pictures.

This one is of an intrigued 6th grader. She had just wondered into Stephen's auditorium, and was searching all around for something. I got her when the light was just right.

Kanji and Desiree were there, way before me might I add. I ended up having to run to my dorm in Newell twice, realizing that both my tripod and tripod mount were left behind.

Lesson of the day: Come early, stay late.
