I want my own equipment.
That is all.
Actually, that's not all. It's not that I don't like shooting with the office-supplied cameras and equipment, but right now, for instance, I want to experiment with some strobing in my house and I don't even have a freaking camera, not to mention strobes.
::Sigh::
Once this summer rolls around and my indoor drumline ends, I'll have more time to work toward a body to call my own. I'm looking into a Canon 30D, but I'd prefer a Nikon D200. Whatever I get would be nice, except for those dinosaur Canon 10D's I'm used to using. They're not bad, but some newer stuff would be hellanice.
I'm so tired.
P.S. I'm officially announcing my entrance into Eddie Adams' Barnstorm XX. I don't expect to be chosen, but I can damn well try. Game on.
"The Eddie Adams Workshop is an intense four-day gathering of the top professionals in photojournalism, along with 100 carefully selected students. The Workshop's purpose is to create a forum in which an exchange of ideas, techniques, and philosophies can be shared between both established members and newcomers of the profession of picture journalism. The Workshop is tuition-free, and the 100 students are chosen based on the merit of their portfolios." - Eddie Adams website

People will be reading your blog. I'd watch cursing. Make it as professional as you can. Just a hint.
BTW, I am also applying for EAW. I meant to last year, but yeah, was way too late.
